Gymnastics Kids
Fun and engaging recreational gymnastics program for kids. Small class sizes ensure personalized attention as they build strength, flexibility, and coordination while having a brilliant time in a safe and supportive environment.
BJJ Teenagers
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program built for teenagers. Train alongside your peers in a challenging yet supportive environment under the guidance of champion instructors, including young IBJJF European Champions.
BJJ Fundamentals
Perfect starting point for anyone new to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. These classes focus on core positions, essential techniques, and fundamental movement patterns in a welcoming environment. Absolute beginners are more than welcome.
BJJ Adults
Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program led by Head Coach Galera, BJJ Black Belt, European Champion, and World Police & Fire Games Champion. Whether you're brand new to the mats or an experienced practitioner, you'll develop your skills in the gentle art.
BJJ No Gi
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without the traditional gi, focusing on dynamic grappling techniques and submissions. Train in athletic wear and develop a faster-paced game under the guidance of world-class instructors.
Competition Team
Elite training program for dedicated athletes who want to compete at local, national, and international BJJ tournaments. Train with champion instructors, including European Champions and World Police & Fire Games Champions.

Head Coach Galera
Founder
Head Coach Galera brings over 25 years of experience teaching capoeira and gymnastics alongside his 10+ years in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. His unique capoeira background sets him apart, bringing fluid movement, rhythm, and acrobatic elements to his teaching. As a world-class BJJ competitor and dedicated instructor, his passion for martial arts has made Studio Galera a top training facility in West Cork.

Stuart Carmody Takes Silver at IBJJF European Championship 2026
Studio Galera instructor Stuart Carmody from Bandon, West Cork finished second at the IBJJF European Championship purple belt division after five tough matches in one of the tournament's deepest brackets.

Five teenagers earned their blue belts at Studio Galera in Bandon, West Cork, plus kids' belt promotions and competition showcase at our December graduation ceremony.

Studio Galera in Bandon took home the title of Best Academy Overall at Grappling Series 2025, finishing first across all four competitions in Cork with a €1,000 prize.
